Requesting A Booking

Bookings are 'Approved' or 'Declined' shortly after your request. When your booking is Approved, an email will be sent to confirm your appointment day and time, the location and the service you have requested, with a reminder email and text (if you have chosen this option) sent 24 hours prior to your booking.

Your First Visit

Your first appointment, either in person at the South Lanarkshire practice or for Remote/Distance Support & Healing Sessions, can be requested online below. At booking checkout, there is the option to add any information you feel is relevant to our first session working together, and I encourage you to feel free to add information you feel is important to your booking request.

This first session allows us the opportunity to explore working together and as an initial assessment and treatment, it offers the opportunity to explore whether we feel we would like to move forward in the healing process together and for you to explore myself as the right practitioner for you. Both parties are free to say either yes or no to continue working together.

All bookings are subject to booking terms.

Why Was Your Booking Declined?

Thank you for your request to book.

At this time, your request for your chosen service has been declined but this does not mean this is a refusal, and it does not necessarily mean we cannot work together, in fact it may be quite the opposite. Your request for an appointment for the service you requested has been declined for one or more of the following reasons:

  • There may be a waiting list and/or limited availability for the service or timeslot you have requested. When this is the case, there are various priorities including clients who are part of a plan where their bookings are given priority as part of the plan, or for clients who are long term attendees of my services. If this is the case, please let me know if you would like to be added to the waiting list and I will be in touch when appointments become available. My contact details are in the email you received.

  • Your request is for a service that may require a Prospective Client/New Enquiry consultation in order for me to assess whether we are able to work together. Consultation is the first step of contact for certain services and this will have been outlined in the information on the webpage of the service you have requested. Pre-appointment consultations can be booked here. They are either 15 or 30 minute consultations by phone or Zoom.

  • The information provided on your booking request may indicate that there is not enough detail for me to successfully assess whether we can work together and whether I can help you. If this is the case, please book a 15 or 30 minute phone consultation before we can begin working together.

  • In reviewing the information you have provided, the support you may gain the most benefit from may be outwith the scope of my services, and that I would be unable to currently help you at this time. This does not mean we cannot work together; it just means that I cannot help you with the issue you have contacted me about and/or it is of a different nature to the service you have requested. I may be able to help you with other support needs. If you would like to discuss this, please book a 15 minute phone consultation.

  • It may have been an extended period of time since we worked together  - please book a pre-appointment 30 minute phone consultation. This offers the opportunity to discuss and consider your experiences since your last appointment and the best way forward.

  • We may have previously worked therapeutically together and the relationship was dissolved. If this was due to seeking support for issues that I had assessed were outwith the scope of my services (for example counselling or psychotherapy), the first step to resuming contact for services within my scope of expertise is a 15 min phone consultation.

  • We may have worked together previously and the relationship was dissolved by yourself either verbally or in writing. If this is the case, the first step to resuming contact is a 30 min phone consultation as the first step to resuming contact.

  • If I outlined in my communications and/or in your therapy session that, in my professional opinion, I would only be able to continue to provide my services for the support you are seeking subject to commitment to a series of regular sessions or a dedicated support plan, or that I have advised you that the issue you are seeking support for requires your attendance at more than one session every few weeks/months. If this is the case and you would like to commit to a plan, these can be booked here. If this has been discussed with you and you decline committing to a plan or regular sessions, future requests to book one-off or irregular/sporadic appointments will also be declined.

  • Repeated lateness, rescheduling, cancellation and non attendance at appointments. Late or missed payments for services and repeated reminders, as outlined in the terms and conditions of booking, or if you have stated you are unable to fund the services you have requested.

  • A conflict of interest or disrespect of, and non adherence to, the professional boundaries, ethics, terms or conditions outlined by Flourish.
